Artist Statement

I was trained in general art and design at St Albans College of Art in 1992, followed by an HND course in surface pattern, design and textiles at Northbrook College of Design and Technology.

I ran a part-time mural and backdrop painting business in Brighton for several years, and had a variety of creative jobs whilst there including window dressing, hand painted sign making and working as a full time childrens face painter at the sealife centre!

I am self taught in graphics, web and digital art and animation which I have practised and studied extensively since 2002. I am a member of Stroud Valleys artspace and take part in the annual Site festivals where I show my paintings as well as digital artwork. I have experience in working as a teaching assistant and have also worked as a registered child-minder following the birth of my son in 1999.

Currently i run workshops, perform as a live video artist and work as a freelance graphic and web designer.
