Artist Statement

As a freelance artist I work on projects producing decoration, sculpture and creative spaces.

Over the years I have brought workshop ideas and methods into schools, businesses and events to encourage team building and creativity. I have over ten years’ experience project managing and organising a wide-range of international collaborative visual arts projects and private commissions. I have run workshops for children with challenging behaviour and for adults with learning difficulties, as well as organising community art projects and INSET training days. My work combines Fine Art practice with a passion for the environment to deliver creative curriculum–supportive workshops using mostly of natural and recycled materials.

My degree in Contemporary Arts, working for Creative Partnerships and other organisations have given me good working methods for evaluation and documentation. With all my projects, I have to manage budgets, meet deadlines, complete risk assessments, manage assistants and volunteers and also work in collaboration with other team members.

I aim to offer a supportive, enriching experience when working with communities so that they are inspired and empowered.
