  • Food “technology”- healthy eating and fun to make treats, basic nutrition and safety in the kitchen.
  • Tie-dye and fabric decoration – easily adapted to suit projects run in schools.
  • Fabric painting on ready made items – a useful workshop for younger children to include design in the curriculum.

Artist Statement

A qualified “Design and Technology” teacher with years of experience teaching groups of all ages, Claire aims to provide workshops that can be taught with a limited amount of specialist equipment, and the ethos that the children should enjoy the work and realise that it is something they can also do at home.

Claire gains most enjoyment through the teaching of skills to others and enjoys learning from the children as they take on the challenge in their own individual way. The sense of achievement when completing a new task gives the children an experience to remember.
